As a US citizen, Byrd lived in six countries while her parents were in the military and learned about government from ‘officer’s training.’ As an adult, she has worked in this economy for 42 years, with 30 years as an employee and 12 years as self employed. She has voted since she was of age and always hoped for a government to be proud of.
