AnaSpec Introduces New AnaTagTM HiLyte FluorTM 594 & 680 Protein Labeling Kits
San Jose, CA, January 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- AnaSpec has announced the inclusion of two new dyes in its AnaTagTM protein labeling kit collection - HiLyte FluorTM 594 (Ex/Em=593/616 nm) and HiLyte FluorTM 680 (Ex/Em=678/699 nm). Developed by AnaSpec, HiLyte FluorTM dyes are a series of dyes that spans the whole visible spectrum (Figure 1).
AnaTag™ HiLyte Fluor™ Protein Labeling kits provide a convenient way to label proteins using the succinimidyl ester (SE) reactive form of the HiLyte Fluor™ dyes. The succinimidyl ester shows good reactivity and selectivity with aliphatic amines of the protein and forms a carboxamide bond, which is identical to, and is as stable as the natural peptide bond (Figure 2). HiLyte Fluor™‑protein conjugates can sustain treatments during immunofluorescent staining, fluorescence in situ hybridization, flow cytometry and other biological applications without hydrolysis. The kits can be used for microscale (3 x 200 ug) and larger scale (3 x 5 mg) labeling of proteins, such as antibodies.
Details:
• Fast labeling time - as short as 30 minutes
• All essential components for conjugation reaction and purification of dye-protein conjugates
• Available in two convenient reaction sizes:
Microscale labeling kit: up to 200 ug protein x 3 labelings or
Larger scale labeling kit: up to 5 mg protein x 3 reactions
• Stable dye-protein conjugate products
• Industry-standard amine-reactive chemistry
