The *Forward Ever Backward Never* campaign is continuing the call to action in a movement through which Africans combine their talents, energy and vision to promote new ideas for a new Africa. In 2009 it is our time. (http://www.forward-ever.org)
In the global debate over the future of Africans and many issues facing the continent, African voices are often missing from the chorus. Africans abroad know the daily struggles that face their families and communities back home. In response, there is a growing effort by Africans in the Diaspora to address vital issues. However, these projects often lack key funds and exposure.
In light of this need, the Forward Ever Backward Never fund, a Black Star Collective Foundation initiative, will annually sponsor charitable projects/ideas initiated by young Africans in the Diaspora for their native homelands. Through the campaign, ideas from talented Africans gain widespread awareness & financial support.

The 2009 FEBN Fund Fellow will be chosen by the public via an online contest in May 2009. The campaign also seeks to get 1,000 signatures on the “New Ideas for a New Africa” Petition – a collection of directives to promote Africa’s progress.
The Black Star Collective Foundation is a non-profit organization in the state of New York. First created in September 2007 and is now coming off of its successful annual fundraiser last December in Manhattan (The Finale Benefit Gala www.finaleshow.com), the BSC Foundation has a committed interest in promoting economic stability, sustainable development and healthy lifestyles in Africa.
