Conference Shows Building Owners and Manufacturers How to Save Money While Saving the Planet
Many Green Building Shows have vendors that sell green cleaning products, solar equipment. Here we have Energy Engineers and HVAC Engineers all giving seminars on how to save Energy (Fuel) on the Large Mechanical Equipment that keeps buildings warm or cool. The equipment uses a lot of energy. Green = Save Energy (Fuel), Save Cash, Save Equipment, Local Labor, Local Equipment, Good for Environment.
West Haven, CT, January 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Connecticut Green Buildings Energy Conference
February 17, 2009 - 7:30am to 2:30pm
Notre Dame High School, West Haven, CT
According to the U.S. Department of Energy "today's buildings consume more energy than any other sector of the U.S. economy, including transportation and industry. In addition, almost three-quarters of our nation's 81 million buildings were built before 1979. An additional 15 million new buildings are projected to be built by 2010. Together, aging buildings and new construction represent a tremendous opportunity to transform how we design, build, and operate our buildings."
The Connecticut Green Buildings Energy Conference, offers manufacturing / commercial building owners and managers practical ways to address this challenge today.
Twenty-Three practical technical sessions, presented by energy professionals from leading Connecticut engineering firms as well as national manufacturers, offer effective ways to save energy-related costs and reduce carbon emissions. The sessions focus on existing equipment, easy to implement and have a quick return. Building owners do not need to replace equipment to save energy. Session topics include:
Lighting: New Technologies in Lighting
How to calculate energy savings for Variable Frequency Drives
How to shop for 3rd Party Electricity and 3rd Party Natural Gas- Questions to ask.
How to save energy with intelligent HVAC equipment control strategies.
There is no cost for attending the conference. The one-hour-long sessions do not repeat, so it is recommended that attendees bring two or more people from their company so information may be shared. Coffee and muffins will be available for breakfast at 7:30am, and a deli lunch will be served between 11am and 12.
