Comicbook Artists Guild Celebrates Independence
Moodus, CT, January 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The annual celebration known as New York Comic Con brings together a multitude of creators, professionals and fans of pop culture. For the past three years, the Comicbook Artists Guild contributed to the celebration by co-sponsoring the Indy After Party along with several independent minded publishers, apparel companies, media ventures, and now a museum. This year is no exception. In conjunction with numerous sponsors within the comic book and entertainment industries, CAG invites attendees and exhibitors to Blaggard’s Pub for an evening of networking, door prizes and entertainment. This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 8pm to midnight.
With the success and popularity of this celebration increasing year over year, the leadership team of the Comicbook Artists Guild is excited to be moving the party to a bigger and more robust venue, as well as a full service restaurant. Last year’s party drew in a crowd of over 240 attendees. The need to move to a larger location was imminent. In addition to the introduction of a new venue, the Indy After Party is honored and excited to welcome the lead singer of the popular band Toolfist for a live performance. Attendees of the party will also be eligible to win exciting door prizes, while meeting new friends and mingling with old.
