Christian Theology Supports Financial Responsibility

Centennial, CO, January 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Emily Mann’s newly published workbook, First You Dream, A Financial Management Workbook, blends Christian theology with financial management basics. People tend to learn these two disciplines separately, and do not often recognize how financial responsibility is tied to being all that you can be as a Christian.

Emily Mann, Debra Hadsall, author of Financial Freedom Party for Women®, A Little Book about Money for Women, and Rev. Dr. Marti Zimmerman have worked together for several years to share the message that financial responsibility is important to everyone, and is supported by religious teachings. Ms. Mann consolidated their messages into a workbook that includes basics of financial planning with Rev. Dr. Zimmerman’s sermons.

The workbook can be used by individuals or a facilitator to explore financial responsibility from a spiritual perspective. Using a workshop format supports personalization of the material and lessons for group members. Everyone gets to participate in a workshop at their own comfort level, and the meetings are usually interactive with lots of discussion.

“We have had tremendous support and encouragement for sharing our message with others.” said Ms. Mann. “We hope that other individuals and groups will come to appreciate how important it is to a community of faith to have everyone comfortable in managing their finances. It gives people the freedom to use their time, energy, and resources on issues outside their own lives.”

From www.financialdreaming.com, “First You Dream is a unique learning opportunity combining Christian teachings with basic financial management. The steps are outlined as: dreaming, analysis, planning, and action. The workbook is appropriate for use by individuals, trained clergy, lay leaders, and group leaders. It features the sermons of Rev. Dr. Marti Zimmerman which were created as part of her studies at Iliff School of Theology. Additionally, the workbook serves as a personal guide for the user in learning basic financial management concepts and in doing exercises concerning values, goals, and performing an analysis of personal finances.”

The First You Dream workbook is available for purchase in book format, or as an electronic file, at http://www.lulu.com/content/4303038.
