“Gods Rising” is a Horror Novel that Spans the Centuries

A novel of psychological horror, “Gods Rising” pits modern man against an ancient creature. The struggle will take you from desert sands to the ward of a psychiatric hospital, revealing the nature of both creature and human beings.

Los Angeles, CA, June 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Glen Egbert’s debut novel, “Gods Rising,” is a revelatory exploration of ancient man’s obsession with personal gods. These gods portrayed all the psychological nuances of human beings, yet had a compelling presence that men could not resist. Inspiring horror as well as awe, the creatures truly responsible for Homeric myths are revealed in this novel of psychological dread.

Rising once again in the present day, in possession of a man incapable of resisting its invasive attack, a creature from the past struggles with its own mortality while tormenting those who would seek its death. In the final chapters of “Gods Rising,” men, women and creature will find salvation in acceptance of their individual destinies.

Mr. Egbert has a wide variety of writing credits, including short stories of horror, fantasy and science fiction. He has also written for television, having penned several animated cartoons for “Smurfs” and “Inspector Gadget.” He is currently working on his second novel, “Bloodgod.”
