Local Author Encourages Parents to: Listen to Your Children and Change the World
Children’s book author Nahu (meaning “the poetry of words” in Aztec) has published a trilogy of stories called Dolphina’s World & Other Stories, encouraging parents to recognize the special gifts in their children’s individuality.
Ashland, OR, June 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- His stories seek to illustrate parental recognition of the gifts in children through unique adventures of self-discovery. Nahu encourages adults to take time to listen and to learn from them. In this first volume of children’s stories published by Outskirts Press, Inc, he introduces the Star Children Series. The special vision the series hope to share is that once we recognize individual uniqueness in our children, they begin to shine like brilliant stars.
Dolphina’s World & Other Stories are a trilogy of self-learning adventure stories for both children and their parents. With sensitivity, Nahu pleads for all to listen to the wisdom in the unique experiences of each child.
The author, a nationally recognized intuitive counselor and published poet of mystical poetry, is convinced that, “Children are the gifts parenting gives the world; and each child’s uniqueness is the gift children give the world. Each child’s wisdom is a reflection of its special uniqueness. Attention given from conscientious parents to their child’s unique perceptions can lead to the release of exceptional talents that can change the course of the world, as we know it.”
Nahu shares with us the reasons he wrote this book:
“I was frustrated with the fact that many books seem to focus on children from a condescending adult perspective, treating them as spectators in the framework of cartoons, and anthropomorphic silliness. Dolphina’s World intentionally presents these three stories from a child’s perspective, recognizing the validity of each individual experience.”
To demonstrate this concept in the first story, Dolphina, an island girl, discovers her special purpose as a teacher and storyteller. The second story explores the fascinating and mystical inner world of children, revealed through the lucid dreams of little Rainsong. In the final story, The Girl Who Talked To Plants, a little girl’s frustration with her parent’s inability to understand her gives birth to a special communication discovery.
Nahu’s writing specifically emphasizes that, “The healthy life of the adult’s inner child depends upon parental nourishment in early childhood development.”
