Raleigh, NC, January 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Katie Page, an organizing consultant with Minding Your Matters®, has earned a Certificate of Study in Basic Physical Conditions Affecting the Chronically Disorganized Client from the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD).
This certificate provides insight into how to professionally assist clients who are affected by a physical impairment. Impairments can range from vision loss, diabetes or a traumatic brain injury to a client who is environmentally sensitive. It is not uncommon for individuals with physical challenges to struggle with being organized. Normalizing the impairment and setting up modified systems helps the individual to gain and maintain organization. Incorporating modifications can be as simple as using a color-coded filing system to as complex as having to remove all items from a home that aggravate an allergy.
To earn this certificate, Page was required to attend courses that explored topics ranging from neurological conditions to thyroid dysfunction. Prior to completing this coursework, Page earned a Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization (CD), Basic ADD, Understanding the Needs of the Elderly CD Client, and Understanding the Needs of Student CD Clients.
“Katie is a valuable asset to this company and to our clients. She continues to learn so she will be able to assist our clients with whatever organizing challenge they may have,” said Janice Russell, Overseer of Order at Minding Your Matters®.
