Dave Gott Releases New CD Making Love is Right
Janet Goodman Publicity and Booking announces that Dave Gott has released a new CD featuring an all-star band that includes Billy Joel alumni Liberty DeVitto, David Santos and Crystal Taliefero.
Miami, FL, January 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Miami-from-New York transplant, singer/songwriter Dave Gott has released a compelling album on his new label, Purple Cantaloupe Music.
An American original through and through, Dave Gott’s music and style are authentic; his poignant lyrics, melodies reminiscent of the 1970’s and vocals both husky and organic come together to create unique and moving performances.
The title track of Making Love is Right is just one of 15 original songs, all self-penned and all produced in Miami recording studios: Sonic Projects and The Hit Factory, which was once called Criteria and was the studio that birthed legendary recordings such as Derek and the Dominoes “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs”, Eric Clapton’s “461 Ocean Blvd.”, Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumors”, The Eagles’ “One of These Nights” and “Hotel California”, and the Bee Gees’ “Saturday Night Fever”. Dave Gott produced the tracks, along with multi-Grammy winner Juan Cristobal Losada.
Backing Dave on this project is a stellar band: Billy Joel’s long time drummer Liberty DeVitto, The Black Crowes keyboardist Rob Clores, CSN guitarist Jeff Pevar, Joel’s bass player David Santos, and Joel’s background vocalist Crystal Taliefero. Other musicians lend their expertise as well, like The Miami Symphony Orchestra, which give certain songs a cinematic depth of field that is breathtaking.
You can catch Dave and his band in the Big Apple this March.
