Life Coach Hueina Su of Denville, NJ-based Beyond Horizon Coaching connects powerful women as the facilitator of Powerful You! National Women’s Network. Sue Urda, Powerful You! co-founder, was the guest speaker at the January meeting, sharing the transformational power of gratitude.

National Women’s Network. At the Denville, NJ Chapter’s January meeting, Powerful You! co-founder Sue Urda was the guest speaker who shared the transformational power of gratitude to an enthusiastic audience. The monthly business luncheon was held at Chrisandis Restaurant in Mountain Lakes, NJ.
Uda shared many key lessons learned through her own journey in spiritual and personal growth. “When one is experiencing a bad day, acknowledge it and accept it. Then we should ask what is great about this. If nothing good can be found in the situation, remember, it could be worse,” Urda said, “I suggest you say, ‘I am grateful.’ It creates a feeling tone for life.”
She also recommends daily affirmatives, to create a practice of gratitude - saying thank you often and keeping a gratitude journal, and frequently smiling. And on those days when it is hard to find something to be grateful for, Urda said to look at nature, the people in your life, and yourself - that you can see or walk. This will lead to the true gratitude.
Urda co-founded the national networking group with Kathy Fyler four years ago in order to present women with a better networking method. While typical networking events can be “intimidating” and “competitive,” Urda’s organization offers a place where women can forge relationships that offer support to the various business endeavors. Along with the typical card exchange it is common for members to ask how each can help one another.
The meetings allow women not only a 30-second introduction or “commercial,” but also time for success and gratitude sharing. Monthly topics run the gamut from tips on advertising your business to finding your life’s purpose. What’s special is the spiritual component that sets this networking group apart from others.
