SteadyRain and ISC Surfaces Launch New Natural Stone Website
St. Louis, MO, January 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- St. Louis based internet strategy, design and development agency, SteadyRain, has partnered with ISC Surfaces to create and launch a new Natural Stone website. The expansive project brought forth new innovations from SteadyRain in the form of an extremely creative, interactive and unique website and custom shopping experience that has made the new ISC Surfaces Natural Stone website a fun experience for any user.
ISC Surfaces came to SteadyRain looking for a new website which, primarily, would contain a custom tool that allows potential clients to select natural stone product of interest before entering a showroom and meeting with a design specialist – saving time and money for all parties involved. ISC Surfaces also required the ability to update and alter product data internally, as their inventory of natural stone is constantly changing.
SteadyRain went through an intensive consulting process with ISC Surfaces to best determine their exact needs, taking into account the products they wished to display, their competitors in the market, the audience they were targeting and how to best create the online presence that would no only meet, but exceed their perceived needs.
The collective result was a multi-year plan and a website completely unique in the stone market with a custom, interactive shopping experience, custom-built by SteadyRain and titled “My Design Workshop” on the Natural Stone website (www.naturalstone.iscsurfaces.com ). “My Design Workshop” encourages each user to create a desired look and feel by choosing pieces from the vast natural stone interactive library and seeing how pieces may look together. This tool, while resembling a shopping cart, does not result in actual sales for ISC Surfaces but acts as a lead generator, allowing a registered user to submit specifications for product in which they are interested. Each submission is forwarded to a knowledgeable ISC Surfaces designer to review and, ideally, is followed by a consultation with the prospective client at one of ISC’s impressive design galleries.
To meet the needs ISC Surfaces had in terms of content management, SteadyRain implemented a custom product module within the DNN (DotNetNuke) Content Management System of the website. The DNN Content Management System allows a user to update and manage content of a website with very little online training or knowledge. The custom data administration tool put in place on the Natural Stone website makes it relatively easy for ISC Surfaces to manage new and existing products they wish to offer on the website.
