Elle Marie Hosts Sip ‘n Snip to Share Latest Hair Trends for 2009

Bothell, WA, February 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The entire hair styling team at Elle Marie Hair Studio in Bothell, Washington sharpened their professional edge with the latest techniques, skills, and tips at the 2009 Redken Symposium at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. From January 18th-20th, the Elle Marie Hair Studio team advanced their skills, ignited their creativity, and ultimately took their professional edge to the next level! Now the Elle Marie team is excited to share their new-found inspiration with the public at their first ever Sip ‘n Snip event Saturday, February 7th from 7-9pm.

For three days the Elle Marie team, together with other salon professionals from all over the world, were taught and inspired by renowned educators in the industry, such as Chris Baran, Sam Villa, and Michael Cole. Stylists attended classes on the latest hair trends, creative color techniques, and on design and finishing. Classes included “Trend Shifting” – the latest design and color trends from around the world, “Curl Crazy” – bringing out the best in a variety of curl textures, and “Color 911: The Next Dimension” – tips and techniques in correcting color.

“The ability to appreciate radical, avant garde runway hair fashions and transform them into wearable daily hairstyles is the key to salon success in 2009 according to Redken,” says Hollie Leach, Assistant Manager at Elle Marie Hair Studio. “Thanks to Redken we have some exciting new looks to share with our guests – styles that will hopefully inspire them to consider new ways to take their own look to the next level.” By offering free consultations, presenting models featuring both mainstream and extreme hairstyles, and welcoming product experts to the salon, Elle Marie Hair Studio plans to create an evening of inspiration for their guests, both new and existing.

“We hosted a wonderful evening of wine and hors d’oeuvres for our Grand Opening in August of 2006 and are excited to now step out from ‘behind the chair’ to toast our wonderful guests who we’ve built such fabulous relationships with,” says Lorry Green, co-owner and senior stylist for the family-owned hair salon. “Regular Sip ‘n Snip events are something we’ve wanted to start for some time now. Riding the wave of excitement and knowledge gained from the Symposium made this the perfect time to kick off our first one!”

The Sip ‘n Snip event will take place at Elle Marie Hair Studio on the corner of 180th Street and Bothell-Everett Highway in Bothell, just south of Mill Creek. Doors will open from 7-9pm and guests are encouraged to drop by at their leisure. Guests will receive product discounts and samples and be entered in drawings for various door prizes. There will be plenty of hors d’oeuvres and a sommelier will be on hand recommending the perfect wine to compliment your hairstyle (or at least try). Guests will enjoy a relaxing Saturday evening mingling with friends in a fresh, social environment.

Elle Marie Hair Studio opened to the Bothell and Mill Creek community in August of 2006 and features the Redken and PureOlogy product lines. The hair salon is family-owned and operated with Colleen Buck overseeing business operations, daughter, Lorry Green, managing the salon, and son, Jody Bossert, driving marketing efforts. Jody also heads up Glitz Marketing, a division of Elle Marie LLC, offering small business marketing consulting to others in the health and beauty industry. In 2008 Elle Marie Hair Studio became the first salon to win the South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Award and finished in the top 5 for hair salons in Evening Magazine’s “Best of Western Washington” contest on KING 5 television.
