World Cup National Martial Arts Champions 2009

Virginia Beach, VA, February 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- World Cup National Martial Arts Champions.

The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's, Team Dragon Force from Virginia Beach, Virginia USA, won the 1st Place Team Demo Grand Champion Trophy at the World Cup Finals National Martial Arts Championships conducted in the Washington, D.C. area on 16 / 17 January 2009.

Team Dragon Force are the National Karate Demo Team Champions.

This National Championship Team Dragon Force is led by Sensei Thompson, who is an 8th degree Black Belt Master Instructor in the Okinawan / Japanese Martial Arts. He is the Founder / Director, Chief Instructor and Top Competitor of the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force National Karate Team. He is the Official OMAA Virginia State Director, RMAA National Director, and a Member of the World Stuntmans Association (WSA). He is a Retired Decorated Navy Commander, Hall of Famer, World and National Karate Champion. His Team Dragon Force has won 12 National Karate Championships and 9 World Cup Martial Arts Championships.

Team Dragon Force Karate had a total of 43 Folks from Ryoshin-Kan Karate School, both Competitors, Parents and other Relatives, that represented their Dojo to the highest level at the World Cup Martial Arts Championships.

When it was all said and done, Dragon Force Took home the hardware (1st Place Trophy).

Ryoshin-Kan’s World Cup Tournament Results

Team Dragon Force had 10 competitors who won a total of 28 Trophies including The Team Demo Grand Champion Trophy as well as 10 First Place Trophies. Note: This is the 12th Time that Dragon Force has won Team Grand Champions at a National Tournament and the 9th Time that they won the World Cup. They are the First Team to win the World Cup three Years in a Row.

*Special Award Plaque: A Special Award was presented to Sensei Thompson at the World Cup Finals on Saturday night 17 January 2009.
