Lakewood Organization Focuses on Community Legal Education
Community Legal Coalition aims to educate community on legal issues.
Lakewood, NJ, June 28, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The Community Legal Coalition was recently organized by the Law Offices of Samuel Z. Brown, P.C. in Lakewood, New Jersey to serve as a conduit for disseminating legal information to the local community. The organization has set as its goal to educate the citizens of Lakewood, as well as surrounding areas, on the law and how it effects them.
The Law Offices of Samuel Z. Brown, P.C., is the founder and charter member of the newly formed coalition. Other members of this organization include Lakewood Resource and Referral Center, the Puerto Rican Action Board, Solutions to End Poverty Soon, Latinas Unidas and WOBM Radio.
The Coalition has planned a series of four seminars that will be held twice this year. Uniquely, these seminars will be offered in both English and Spanish to better serve the local community. The first of these seminars will be held on Wednesday, July 26th at the Lakewood Municipal Building. This inaugural seminar will focus on Real Estate Basics and will provide valuable information to individuals, many of whom may be first time homebuyers.
Future seminars will include topics in the area of landlord tenant law, personal injury and family law. Amy Bennecoff, Esq., an associate at the Law Offices of Samuel Brown, excited to be a part of this grass roots effort, commented: “The specific seminar topics were chosen because these are all key areas where we all have rights, but we may not be familiar with what they are or how to assert them.
