Launch of the Histories & Mysteries Website
Histories & Mysteries is launching a new website, adding a totally new service to its offering.
Edinburgh, United Kingdom, February 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Histories & Mysteries, organiser of the Histories & Mysteries Conference in Edinburgh, November 22-23, 2008, is proud to announce the launch of their new website. The website is intended to become a central point of contact, to be used by authors and researchers in the field of “alternative sciences” who want to announce their discoveries to the world.
Director Philip Coppens states: “With the creation of Frontiers Sciences Foundation, precisely fourteen years ago today, Herman Hegge and I wanted to create a ‘one stop shop’ for alternative sciences in the Netherlands and Belgium. The past fourteen years have shown how successful this endeavour now is, with the likes of the annual Frontier Symposium, Frontier Magazine, the Frontier Award, Frontier Bookshop, New Frontier catazine, etc. Over the past year, I felt it was time to try and create the same platform for Europe, if not the world, and that’s why Histories & Mysteries is now launched. Frontier Sciences Foundation tried to aide Dutch and Belgian researchers international recognition for their work and Histories & Mysteries will continue this endeavour, for different languages – as well as spot new talent in the English-language market.”
With the Histories & Mysteries conference in November 2008, the organisation, run by Philip Coppens and Cris Winter, has already proven its maturity. The conference was able to attain UK-wide media exposure as it was able to hold a world’s first: the public display of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull, the crystal skull that was the pivotal inspiration for the latest Indiana Jones movie.
Both Coppens and Winter are aware that new initiatives will have a tough time in the current economic climate, but are convinced that quality and a unique offering continue to be key factors that should guarantee success. Coppens observes: “Already, Histories & Mysteries has retained the services of some extra-ordinary researchers. Take, for example, Antoine Gigal, a French researcher who is well-known in her home country, but whose discoveries are little-known outside of France. Histories & Mysteries will become her primary English-language platform to broadcast her discoveries and conclusions to the world. To coincide with the launch of the website, we have made an initial announcement about a discovery she has made near the pyramids of Giza. It is but a tiny bite of a much bigger apple, which will be offered for consumption over the following months.”
The organisation has other talents lined up and hopes that over time, researchers from across the world will come to regard Histories & Mysteries as a primary platform to launch their conclusions. Winter notes: “Histories & Mysteries is not there to report on the news. It is there to create the news. We want people to know that information launched by our organisation can be trusted and is top quality. Of course, it will take some time before this reputation is firmly established. But in the end, the information offered will speak for itself and people will come to regard the site as a first point of call, both to launch news – and read it.”
The organisation’s website is www.histories-mysteries.com.
