The recently published collection of poems, Moons of Desire, is a compilation of 21 love poems, written by first-time author T. Mayu Bogollagama. Capturing various dialogues on love, Bogollagama wrote the poems in 1997 while he was a graduate student at Georgetown. Each poem was inspired by his romantic interest at the time.
The poems melodically illustrate a sense of kindness and compassion, traits that naturally manifest from a deep love for another. Through his poetry, Bogollagama hopes to demonstrate his firm belief in good karma through random acts of kind deeds.
Bogollagama has dedicated Moons of Desire to the examples of kindness displayed by the life of the late Princess Diana. Proceeds from royalties will be donated worldwide to orphanages once touched by Princess Diana.
About the Author
Pau T. Mayu Bogollagama studied English and philosophy as an undergraduate at Georgetown University and thereafter earned a masters of arts in development economics, which was followed by law school. Bogollagama currently resides in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.
