SKOLKOVO EMBA Opening Module Held
Moscow, Russia, February 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The opening module of SKOLKOVO EMBA was held last week. A group of participants, who successfully passed the entrance exams, started their studies at SKOLKOVO.
The SKOLKOVO EMBA opening module took place at the Le Meridien Moscow Country Club in Nakhabino (the Moscow Region) from January 27 till February 2, 2009. In the framework of the module, the students attended the “Understanding General Management” course, lectured by Prof. Keith Goodall (University of Cambridge, Judge Business School). Also at the first module the “Practice of Leadership” course was launched. The Practice of Leadership includes individual and group coaching as well as training sessions. Introduction to the course on the leadership was made by Don Prince and Sara Ais – the representatives of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), SKOLKOVO’s Partner in the EMBA leadership programme. The participants met their personal coachers and made an individual plan of development for a period of the programme. The guest speakers of SKOLKOVO EMBA first module were Arkady Dvorkovich, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation and Andrey Fursenko, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
After an hour-and-a-half conversation with the programme’s participants, Arkady Dvorkovich commented: ‘This is a very strong group. I believe that not only the private sector, but also the public sector will gain a lot from having such graduates’.
