Mr. John Goes to Washington
Mr. John was honored to stand alongside the area’s finest portable restroom service providers to take care of the needs of the crowd gathered to witness the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in Washington, DC.
Keasbey, NJ, February 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- During the pre-planning stages for the 2009 Presidential Inauguration, there was much concern over the subject of portable toilets. Will there be enough of them to handle the huge crowd?
Mr. John is glad that the subject garnered so much interest and rightly so, this being one of the largest public gatherings in United States history. People would need somewhere to go if they had to go.
Industry professionals are more than qualified to make a recommendation on how many portable toilets are needed for an event based on several important known variables including the number of attendees. Unfortunately, in this case, the actual number of attendees could have varied by huge numbers. Some estimates indicated crowds of up to 4 million people, while others suggested less than 1 million. In terms of toilets, this is a huge variable.
A local Washington DC area portable restroom company; Don’s Johns, was in charge of the restrooms for the event. In order to be able to supply enough toilets to fulfill the order, they reached out to fellow restroom operators including Mr. John for additional units. Mr. John supplied 150 ADA approved portable restrooms units with hand sanitizers as well as 14 deluxe Premier model restrooms. When all of the portable restrooms were in place, it was an amazing scene. Banks of toilets stood proud and ready to comfort the crowds on Inauguration day.
Luckily, those in charge of logistical planning for the inauguration were able to come up with an adequate number of portable restrooms. Interviews and reports following the inauguration all say that there were plenty of restrooms and long lines were avoided. Actual numbers reported the inaugural attendees at close to 2 million.
Mr. John was honored to stand alongside the area’s finest portable restroom service providers to take care of the needs of the crowd gathered to witness this historic event. They look forward to meeting the challenges of many more events in the years to come.
