Thomas Concrete Receives Award of Excellence at 2008 Georgia Chapter American Concrete Institute Awards Ceremony

Atlanta, GA, February 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Thomas Concrete was recognized at the annual GA Chapter ACI Dan R. Brown Awards Presentation Ceremony with an Award of Excellence as the concrete supplier for the Arabia Mountain High School project in Dekalb County.

Constructed by the Turner Construction Company, this project became the first “silver” LEED-certified public school in the state of Georgia.

The annual GA Chapter ACI Awards recognizes and honors creative, innovative, aesthetic and imaginative uses of concrete and concrete masonry in new construction and restoration projects.

The awards ceremony brought together participants in projects that a GA Chapter ACI panel of judges selected as the state’s outstanding concrete projects in 2008.

Thomas Concrete was also recognized as one of the donors who committed products, services and dollars to complete the Southface Eco Office project, a first place award winner that showcased green office building construction and design.
