Extreme Endurance Kettlebell Competition to be Held in Fullerton, California
Fullerton, CA, February 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- MBody Strength, a fitness company based in Orange County, California, is hosting an extreme endurance kettlebell competition involving a 2-mile hike, 100 kettlebell snatches, a 53 pound kettlebell, an 18 pound kettlebell, and the all-new MBody KettleBack™, the first and only kettlebell backpack. The fitness competition is called the Suburban Warrior Challenge and will be held on February 21, 2009 at the Castlewood Trail in Fullerton, California.
“We thought this would be a great way to get kettlebell enthusiasts, hardcore athletes, and anyone looking for a fitness challenge together,” stated Marcus Martinez, MBody Strength’s founder and member. “Nothing requires better physical conditioning and stamina like weighted hiking and kettlebell training.”
The event is free for those who want to compete, but requires that you know how to perform the kettlebell snatch exercise with a 53 pound kettlebell. Fortuneatly, MBody Strength offers the first session free for personal training, workshops, and boot camps, and can quickly show anyone how to perform the exercise.
Kettlebell competitors must demonstrate their ability to perform the exercise prior to starting the race. MBody Strength will loan a KettleBack™ kettlebell backpack, a 53 lb kettlebell, and an 18 lb kettlebell to each participant for the hike. The fastest time will win a KettleBack™, valued at $150.00.
The KettleBack™ kettlebell backpack was developed to allow users to quickly and safely transport a kettlebell to any location they’d like to do their kettlebell training, like the park, beach, or during a hike. The KettleBack™ kettlebell backpack also enables users to combine resistance training with kettlebell training, the best combination of conditioning training methods imaginable.
Similar to using a weighted vest, the KettleBack™ helps users program their muscle fibers and brain to work under increased levels of resistance. As soon as a body believes it is functioning at a higher resistance level, a user can vastly improve overall endurance, quickness, vertical jump, and strength.
Competitors can register online at www.MBodyStrength.com. The Suburban Warrior Challenge requires that all liability release forms and entries be completed by February 18, 2009.
“Anyone who enjoys a challenge should compete,” said Marcus Martinez. “Think of it as doing a marathon in under an hour. Just like all the fitness training we teach and do ourselves, we look for maximum physical exertion in the shortest time possible.”
