Chicago, IL, June 29, 2006 --(PR.com)-- It’s “Sweet 16!” for SCOOZI!’s Annual “Tomato Fest,” which will be held August 26 – 29, 2006, at SCOOZI!, 410 W. Huron. One of our Town’s favorite summer traditions enjoyed by foodies and tomato fanatics alike, “Tomato Fest” features a variety of complementary food and wine menus and special events, plus many new twists this year sure to sweeten the week.

Saturday, August, 26th
SCOOZI! Market: For the first year, guests will enjoy a SCOOZI! Market, which will be held Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Guests will enjoy and can taste and purchase a variety of fresh tomatoes, delicious pizzas and refreshing beverages inside the restaurant.
And when the sun sets, the partying begins! Saturday night, SCOOZI! hosts the Tomato Fest “Tomato Jam.” As a new Tomato Fest event, the SCOOZI! “Tomato Jam” will have gift bags for guests, tomato inspired cocktails, menu specials and live music by Michael Lerich Productions, Inc. from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 27th
From 8 a.m -2 p.m., SCOOZI! will again host the new “SCOOZI! Market.” At 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., kids get their turn to celebrate Tomato Fest at the annual Kid’s Fest, where there will be tons of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.
Monday, August 28th
What would Tomato Fest be without actually eating tomatoes! That’s why Executive Chef John Chiakulas invites guests to the Tomato Fest Wine Dinner. Guests will dine on tomato inspired courses complemented with wines by SCOOZI! Wine Sommelier David Kline. These delicious Italian entrees will make anybody say Mangia! Reservations are required.
Tuesday, August 29th
Lift your “spirits” by joining SCOOZI! for their Tomato Fest Galleria Wine Down! For $25 guests can sample a selection of 30 wines, enjoy passed Antipasti, and view art on display from local River North Galleries. Live music will be provided by Michael Lerich Productions, Inc. Book your reservation today at (312) 943-5900. Who knew you could learn about wine and art all at once!
An Italian Renaissance Trattoria, SCOOZI! focuses on high-quality seasonal ingredients pulled from the many regions of Italy. Marked by rich, mahogany wood and leather banquettes, the airy loft setting offers both snug nooks for intimate dining and large tables for group entertaining, offering accommodations for parties of two to 350. Large Italian windows separate cozy dining sections from the 310-seat dining room.
SCOOZI!, is open for dinner seven nights a week. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Private catering services are available for special events. Valet parking is available nightly.
