Critically Acclaimed Actress Shelli Boone Cast in New Comedy Central Webisode "Hot Sluts: Rated R!"

Pasadena, CA, February 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Shelli Boone has just wrapped production on the Comedy Central webisode, Hot Sluts: Rated R! The webisode, an irreverent salute to 80’s prison gang films like Chained Heat and Red Heat is being released by the network’s web division, Atom Films. The webisodes focus on a group of sexy women who work and wreak havoc at a seedy nightclub. Boone plays the rough-and-tumble DJ of the club, Tawny.

“I really tried to channel Tamara Dobson (Cleopatra Jones) in my performance,” says Boone. “All of the characters in the show are great. We get to kick ass and talk tough; then the end result is hilarious!”

Hot Sluts:Rated R! is created by & directed by A.D. Miles from Comedy Central’s Dog Bites Man, written by A.D. Miles & Joe Lo Truglio of Superbad and MTV’S The State fame, and produced by Miles, Lo Truglio and Jonathan Stern. The webisode will be available on-line in February at AtomFilms.com.

Boone is also known for her series regular role as “Evan Reed” on FOX’s 2007 prime-time telenovela Saints and Sinners, still airing internationally. She was also nominated for an NAACP Theater Award for her stage portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge in “Dorothy and Otto: The Dorothy Dandridge Affair”. She starred in the horror film Holla, a Lionsgate DVD release.
