Michigan Free TV Inc. Announces Crystal-Clear TV with No Monthly Fees
Auburn Hills based Michigan Free TV Inc. offers Metro Detroit consumers crystal-clear alternative to monthly cable or satellite fees.
Auburn Hills, MI, February 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Much has been publicized about the February 17, 2009 digital transition and the need for converter boxes for those using analog TV’s with antennas. Not much has been said about real advancement here. With the switch to digital broadcasting, consumers now have a viable alternative to cable and satellite without sacrificing picture and sound quality.
Over The Air (OTA) broadcasting of digital signals means consumers can now receive the best available picture and sound from broadcast networks like; ABC, CBS, CW, Fox, My, NBC, and PBS without monthly cable or satellite fees. In many cases (especially with High Definition Programming), the signal received over the air is superior to cable or satellite. It is a pure uncompressed digital signal, much like the sound from a CD is better than from an MP3. With the addition of multicasting, more programming is being sent over the airwaves than ever before.
Michigan Free TV Inc. is offering alternative reception systems for consumers that don't need or use cable/satellite channel offerings. The Nielsen Galaxy Explorer estimated that for the week of 1/5/09 through 1/11/09, of the top 100 rated shows, 90 of them were carried over broadcast networks. Only 10 shows were broadcast over subscription networks*, and 2 of those, were re-runs of broadcast network shows. The total household share** for that week was 471.4 of which, only 21.7 originated from subscription sources*. This means that 95.6% of the household share was carried on broadcast networks.
Michigan Free TV Inc. provides complete OTA services including; reception analysis, antenna installation, and equipment recommendations. They also offer the latest in Digital-to-Analog converters and High Definition Digital Video Recorders (HD-DVR’s).
To learn more about how you can eliminate monthly cable, satellite and DVR fees, visit www.mifreetv.com, Email info@mifreetv.com or call (248) 648-8841.
*Subscription TV is programming delivered to the household by wired cable, telco or alternate delivery systems (ADS) such as satellite.
** Household Share includes Live+SD Ranked by average audience % (ratings); in the event of a tie, impressions (000's) are used as a tiebreaker.
Ad-Supported Subscription television only.
Programming under 25 minutes excluded.
