NASA Renews Strategy Consulting Project with Work Systems Affiliates

Work Systems Affiliates International, Inc. announces the launch of the second phase of its work with the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston TX. NASA JSC's Advanced Planning Office to develop and implement a robust strategic planning process.

Auburn, MA, February 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Work Systems Affiliates International, Inc. (WSA) recently announced the phase two launch of a consulting project with the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston TX, to develop a Strategic Planning Process.

Paul Plotczyk, President of WSA, serves as Project Manager and will continue working with NASA JSC's Advanced Planning Office to develop and implement a robust strategic planning process.

"The Johnson Space Center (JSC) is certainly accustomed to offering very unique value in its role as the premier player in NASA's human space exploration efforts. And as we've come to know JSC, we can see that it is not accustomed to functioning in the highly competitive commercial world that it now finds itself," said Mr. Plotczyk.

NASA JSC has been home to the nation's human space flight programs and serves as the lead NASA center for the International Space Station - a US-led collaborative effort of 16 nations, and the largest, most powerful, complex human facility to ever operate in space.

"In order to leverage its rich legacy, capabilities and competencies, JSC will need to take a strong lead as the coordinator and integrator of a global space flight community," said Dr. Paul Stimson, WSA Managing Partner after his recent visit to the Johnson Space Center.

"We are very excited and proud to be chosen to assist NASA in its quest to maintain and enhance its position as the world leader in the human exploration of space. We believe that the demands on the strategic planning process at this juncture are very high for NASA, and our validated strategic planning process is the right tool at the right time," said Dr. Stimson.

"Given that the world in which NASA operates has changed, I think they like our perspective that strategy is about being different - about deliberately choosing a different set of activities to deliver a unique mix of value, across the whole enterprise," added Mr. Plotczyk.

"Looking at our work with the Office of Special Investigation for the U.S. Air Force, our consulting with NASA and our previous activities with the Counter-Intelligence Field Activity (CIFA) of the Department of Defense, I sometimes feel like we are in the middle of a Robert Ludlum novel!" added Paul Plotczyk.
