Fiscal Fitness Bowling Classic Benefits Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement of Washington is recruiting teams to participate in the 2009 Bowling Classic: An Exercise in Fiscal Fitness, on Thursday April 30 and Saturday, May 2, 2009.
Seattle, WA, February 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The 2009 Fiscal Fitness Bowling Classic, an event benefiting Junior Achievement of Washington, will take place Thursday April 30 and Saturday, May 2, 2009 at bowling centers throughout western Washington. Over 3,000 participants commit to raise a minimum of $150 in pledges, making them eligible for exciting prizes. Each five-person team bowls one two-hour, two-game shift at several bowling centers throughout Western Washington. Shifts will take place between 9 am and 5 pm at Brunswick Majestic Lanes, Narrows Lanes, Bremerton Lanes, Acme Bowling and Billiards and West Seattle Bowl. Registration fee is $10 per bowler, which provides for two games of bowling and bowling shoe rental. No special bowling skills are required to help raise money to support local students.
The funds collected in the 2009 Fiscal Fitness Bowling Classic will help enable Junior Achievement to teach the value of the free enterprise system to over 100,000 western Washington students. Junior Achievement is committed to ensuring that today’s young people have a fundamental understanding of the importance of fiscal responsibility and have the skills to help them succeed in school and life.
