Iowa Department of Health and Human Services Selects the SyberWorks Learning Management System to Manage Employee Training at Glenwood Resource Center
SyberWorks Inc., a leader in the Learning Management Systems industry, announced today that they signed an agreement with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services to provide employee training at Glenwood Resource Center (GRC) using the SyberWorks Learning Management System.
Waltham, MA, February 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Jami Kline, Director of Education & Training Services for Glenwood Resource Center, says, “Glenwood Resource Center is operated by the Iowa Department of Human Services. The mission of GRC is to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. The GRC organizes its employees into interdisciplinary teams that are led by qualified mental retardation professionals, in an integrated approach to providing service to the disabled. Employee training and training-records management and tracking are vital to providing the high level of care the state requires.
“We had already evaluated, selected, and purchased a different learning management system (LMS), but within one year, we quickly outgrew it. This time around, we realized we needed an LMS that is scalable and has the functionality we needed, such as email notifications, competency management, read-and-sign documents, SOP (standard operating procedure) automation, and password security.
“We looked at four different LMS systems and found the SyberWorks Learning Management System to have the functionality we needed at a competitive price. In fact, we found the SyberWorks LMS had features built into the core product that would meet our needs well beyond our immediate training goals.
“We are using the SyberWorks LMS to track and manage our classroom training, computer-based training, online training, competency management, SOP automation, and more. The system is very user-friendly. I have been working with another colleague to set it up, and neither of us is very computer savvy, but we were able to set up the system quickly and easily.”
Dave Boggs, CEO of SyberWorks states, “We are thrilled to work with such a progressive mental-health agency as Glenwood Resource Center. They are committed to the highest level of service and support for individuals with disabilities.”
