The Project was premiered this Memorial Day weekend in Miami and received an incredible response. Godmother rubbed shoulders with the likes of Stephan Hill (VP of BET), Benzino, Jadakiss, Styles P, Smitty, Pitbull and more while in the MIA. The new label has definitely already caught the eye of and made a serious impact amongst some of Hip-Hop’s most elite. The project is being released in two parts.
1st as a Compilation sold in stores which will feature music from the entire God Mother Entertainment roster which includes NLZ, Blue Raspberry, Makeba Mooncycle, Nina Ross, Lina, Scandalous, Hexx and NH/Boston natives The UNDC (Epic Visions, Wize, Dj Dax and ET). Other artist appearances include Young Mook, Ben Frank, MMO, Shabazz the Disciple, Amadeus the Stampede (also of Boston), E-Dub, ILLSTATE, Maceo, Fats, Artist, Rich Mo, Double AB, Ta Ta, 100% Pure and Swif P.
The CD features production by: The Legendary Dj Scratch (EPMD, Busta Rhymes new hit New York Sh$t), Dub Sonata, M-Dot, Psycho Capone, Tim “Piano Man” Hill, 100% Pure, Vintage, Pro Fluent, Dj Dax, Joshua Low, Miles “Team Heat”, Fats, NLZ & BK.
2nd as a mixtape style CD sold in the street and at shows that will feature music from the same artists plus collaborations from other artists and be mixed by Dj Dax.
The purpose of the project is to introduce the game to GodMother and God Mother’s family of talented artists. A very diverse blend of acts representing from all across the USA comes together as one to make up La Familia. The family is strong and experienced in all avenues of the industry and hungry for the top. Nothing short of an alien invasion will be able to stop this crew!
