Planet Technologies Names Department of Energy’s Former Deputy Assistant Secretary for National Security as Director of Business Solutions
Germantown, MD, February 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Planet Technologies, an award-winning technology consulting firm headquartered in Germantown, Maryland, announced today that Christopher “Rocky” Campione joined the company as their Director of Business Solutions. In this role, Campione will be leveraging his vast experience in cyber security, organizational strategy, and governance in supporting Planet’s public sector and commercial customers.
Campione comes to Planet Technologies from the Department of Energy where he held positions in the areas of security, management, and information technology. His most recent position at Energy was Senior Advisor to the Deputy Secretary where he served as his Chief of Staff. Campione's focus was on the day to day management of the Department with an emphasis on improving security. Prior to this role, he held the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for National Security where he was responsible for issues pertaining to Energy’s cyber security program, the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, and the Office of Health, Safety, and Security. He came to Energy from the Department of State to serve as advisor to the Chief Information Officer. Campione supported the CIO in managing the department’s information technology portfolio, revitalizing the Department’s cyber security program, and improving corporate communications.
