SAE Institute Announces Public Online Seminar Initiative: SAE-LIVE!
SAE launches its newest online initiative, SAE-LIVE!. Designed to offer SAE resources to the public with live video streams and interactive chat rooms during audio, film, and media seminars. These global webcasts give the public a unique opportunity to become part of the SAE community.
San Francisco, CA, February 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Beginning with the global broadcast of a music production seminar by Grammy winning producer Bryan-Michael Cox from SAE Atlanta, SAE Institute's SAE-LIVE! kick-off seminar gave viewers from around the world a chance to sit in with students during this one-of-a-kind experience. Questions came in from everywhere from Cleveland to Canada to Queensland. Quickly followed by the first broadcast of SAE's virtual film panels, "On The Set" broadcasted from SAE's campus on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, CA, the SAE-LIVE! initiative: to share the SAE Experience with the public, has been a great success; achieving more than 40,000 views within days of the first broadcast.
"This has been something SAE has been wanting to do for a long time." Explains SAE Senior Managing Director Rudi Grieme, "We have always opened the doors of the physical campuses to the public for various seminars, but for 2009 we decided to expand it to anyone who wants to log onto their computer, or even cell phone, watch and chat with the presenters and panelists. There's a lot of new developments going on with technology, and a lot of great music and film ideas that people should know about, so it makes sense to use some of SAE's resources to interact with anyone who wants to participate."
The next SAE-LIVE! broadcast will be the second installment of the "On The Set" film series featuring guest lecturer Jarratt Carson, Emmy-Awarding winning producer of the Amazing Race, and long time supervising producer for various CBS and ABC television shows. On February 21st, starting at 12:00PM PST, Mr. Carson will cover how he succeeded in Hollywood, and will take questions from people viewing the webcast as well as from the audience in the SAE Los Angeles dubbing theater.
The SAE-LIVE! initiative, however, is not limited to interactive video seminars. It also includes a major effort by SAE Institute campuses worldwide to comb through their resources and provide pre-recorded tutorials, tracks, podcasts and tips gained from SAE's 30 years in education. All online and free for anyone who wants to view them.
