Is the private plane still a viable business tool?

Knoxville, TN, February 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Is the corporate jet dead? Not by a long shot. That’s the conclusion reached by Forbes.com reporter Zach Greenburg who spoke with Jetcharter.com’s Mike Mitchell for his story.

"The media needs to quit casting our business in a light of super luxury," Mitchell tells Forbes. Private jets "need to be looked at as a tool that uses the most important people's time most effectively. Do you really think the time of the most important person in the company is best served by wasting an entire day getting to one meeting?"

Instead of getting to one meeting, Mitchell stressed, that same corporate executive could attend three meetings in three separate cities with a corporate jet.

As Jetcharters.com fliers know well, the time savings happens on both ends of a trip. On the departure, customers can drive up to the private plane, have their luggage loaded and be in the air, all in just a matter of minutes. Aircraft Charter clients can go directly to their destination without having to stop at a hub-connecting airport. Once they arrive, their ground transportation meets them at the private plane and their luggage comes off.

There are other advantages, as well. Time savings occur by being able to go to smaller airports. Aircraft Charter travelers do not have the typical waiting game that someone does at commercial airports. Because of smaller runway requirements, the choice of airports opens up dramatically. It’s also much easier to work onboard and get things done.

Time, writes Greenburg at Forbes.com, “is the most perishable asset of all.” Jetcharters.com couldn’t agree more.
