"Un Hombre y Una Mujer" to Air 200th Episode of Its Second Season
El Paso, TX, February 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The radio show “Un Hombre y Una Mujer,” a show geared to the Hispanic community by giving free advice to the Hispanic community from El Paso, Cd. Juarez and Las Cruces with personal, family, and relationship issues is proud to announce the airing of its 200th episode in its second season on February 13th, 2009 at Radio KAMA 750 AM.
The show started in June 2003 in a Juarez radio stations and was brought to the U.S. in May 2008, starting a whole new season and format. It has been helpful to thousands of Spanish radio listeners in our area, many of which are not able to afford professional help or are afraid to ask for it.
The hosts of the show, Psychologist and Hypnologist Guillermo Castañeda and Dr. Amparo Barquera, D.D.S. have had over 40 and 30 years of experience in their fields respectively. Guillermo Castañeda says,”This show started as a hobby, I had dreamt to be on the microphone since I was a little boy. As time went by, we noticed that we were helping many of our listeners as well and we realized that we had a huge responsibility to help the people in our community. Since we have always felt that we had to give back to our community somehow, it seemed only fit for us to concentrate on our show and provide a higher social service.”
The hosts provide service to the community not only during the show but also after hours. Many of their listeners that call in at anytime during day or night time have had their questions answered free of charge. “We don’t realize the need to be listened to. Many times, we are unable to talk to our family and friends for the fear of being laughed at. Our mission is to listen to the people and make a change whenever possible without ever making fun out of a serious situation.” says Dr. Barquera. “We have been blessed with their trust; we can only pay back by showing professionalism.”
