Independence Visitor Center Announces President Obama Day in Celebration of Black History Month
The Independence Visitor Center invites students to submit a video of their recitation of any of the famous speeches the President delivered during the course of his campaign.
Philadelphia, PA, February 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Thousands came out to Independence Mall to witness the historic Inauguration of President Barack Obama – why not return during Black History month to celebrate President Obama Day at Independence Visitor Center?
The Independence Visitor Center invites youths aged 4 – 18 to submit a video of their recitation of any of the now-famous speeches the President delivered during the course of his campaign. The children with the best five submissions will be invited to perform their speech at the Independence Visitor Center for the President Obama Day program taking place February 28th, 2009 from 11 am – 1 pm in the Independence Ballroom. The winning renditions will receive an award and will also be featured on the Visitor Center’s website at www.IndependenceVisitorCenter.com/PresidentObamaDay.
Videos no longer than two minutes in length can be submitted on a CD-ROM and mailed to the Independence Visitor Center (Attn: President Obama Day, One North Independence Mall West, Philadelphia, PA 19106) or emailed to PresidentObama@IndependenceVisitorCenter.com. The deadline for submissions is February 18th, 2009.
The President Obama Day program will be Free and open to the public.
