About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

Evading The Nazis tells the story of a Jewish boy who lived in German-occupied France during World War II. To protect him from the imminent danger of being arrested by the police, his mother placed him in the custody of good-hearted farmers in Normandy. He adopted a new name and pretended to be a Catholic boy. He stayed there as a hidden child until the liberation of France by the Allies. He then resolved to investigate the cultural and religious background of his family and he eventually became a religion teacher. He wrote this book so that his descendants may remember the tragic events of the Holocaust.
