LatPro to Host Chicago Diversity Job Fair Event on March 19
The second installment of LatPro’s National Diversity Job Fair Series will visit the Lakeview Terrace at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
Chicago, IL, February 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Diversity job board LatPro (www.LatPro.com) will continue its 2009 diversity career fair series with a multicultural event in Chicago. Held in partnership with the National Society for Hispanic Professionals (www.NSHP.org), the job fair will take place at the Lakeview Terrace at Chicago’s Navy Pier on Thursday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Designed for multicultural jobseekers, the March event is the second of LatPro’s 2009 season of nine diversity career fairs to be held across the United States for Hispanic and bilingual professionals.
LatPro decided to return to Chicago after boasting two highly successful Chicago career fairs in 2007 and 2008.
“According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 26% of Chicago’s residents report that they are of Hispanic heritage. That is a huge advantage for employers seeking workers with insight into Latino culture and/or Spanish language abilities,” said Ricardo Villalba, events manager for NSHP. “Coming back to Chicago and its high-caliber of jobseekers was an easy decision.”
Jobseekers attending the 2009 Chicago Diversity Career Fair will have the opportunity to network with fellow Hispanic professionals and local chapters of Latino organizations, in addition to meeting representatives from employers such as BP, Boy Scouts of America, Chicago Transit Authority, Kroger, New York Life, US Department of State, Verizon Wireless, and many more. Admission is free for all job seekers. Professional dress is required. Jobseekers can pre-register at: http://network.nshp.org/events/chicago-job-fair.
The remaining 2009 Career Fair schedule includes:
