Michelle Obama and Gant Travel Management Share Common Goal - Supporting Military Families

Alexandria, VA, February 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In this era of responsibility, it is important for all Americans to take action and find ways to enrich not only this country, but also the lives of those who sacrifice so much for America. Gant Travel Management understands the sacrifices military families make each day, which is why The Alliance of Veteran Business Travelers was created over a year ago. The Alliance not only employs military spouses, but Gant pledges 10% of the profits from The Alliance to go to not-for-profit groups that serve the military community. Gant is excited that Michelle Obama shares in their support of military families and their spouses.

Michelle Obama’s agenda is to “support military families, help working women balance career and family, and encourage national service.” The First Lady has been an advocate of military families throughout her husband’s campaign. Just before her husband’s inauguration she promised military spouses that, “for as long as I have the tremendous honor of being your First Lady, your voices will be heard, you will have an advocate in the White House, and the American promise you preserve always will extend to you.” Gant hopes that she continues to show her support for military families and American companies that are joining her efforts of encouraging military spouses.

Gant Travel Management agrees with the First Lady and is excited about her enthusiastic stance in supporting military families and their spouses. Gant’s goal is to take care of military families and put them to work, no matter where they are stationed in the country.

Military spouses have sacrificed much and traditionally are underemployed because of the demands that come along with being a spouse of one of the nation’s warriors.
