Graphic Products Introduces New Industrial Sign and Label Printer
Beaverton, OR, February 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The new DuraLabel 9000, now the widest format industrial sign and label printer offered by Graphic Products, Inc., prints on four inch to nine inch width supply. It becomes the latest in the rapidly growing line of DuraLabel brand industrial printers.
“The launching of the DuraLabel 9000 just goes to show how DuraLabel brand printers are being viewed by those in industrial workplaces,” said Daniel Evans, assistant marketing manager at Graphic Products. “With its unique abilities and functions, the DuraLabel 9000 is simply adding to the already-established DuraLabel reputation of fast, affordable, quality, customer service-backed sign and label printers.”
Designed to print with speeds up to four inches per second, the DuraLabel 9000 thermal transfer printer produces signs and labels for numerous applications including 5S labeling, pipe marking, vehicle identification, directional information, safety information, machinery and equipment, identification marking, and OSHA safety signs.
The printer comes bundled with DuraLabel’s Industrial Labeling Software (ILS), which includes a recently updated symbols library with over 350 industrial symbols and pictograms. Also included in the ILS are a variety of label templates for quick, easy sign and label design.
By utilizing a USB, serial, or parallel port, the DuraLabel 9000 works with any Windows® NT or newer operating system. An LCD display and six panel buttons on the front of the printer allow for easy menu navigation for printer configuration and adjusting language settings, for example.
“The DuraLabel 9000 will become an essential tool for facilities everywhere because it reliably produces quality, long-lasting signs and labels—not to mention its versatility when it comes to different sign and label sizes,” said Evans. “In other words, OSHA might require you to warn of a specific safety hazard, and it would be hard not to see a bold, colorful warning sign produced from nine inch DuraLabel 9000 supply.”
Engineered for the industrial workplace, some features for the DuraLabel 9000 include:
● 300 dpi resolution
● Thermal Transfer / Direct Thermal print mode
● Compatible with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0®, 2000®, XP®, and Vista®
● Automatic cutter for clean, precisely cut signs and labels
● 8MB Flash memory, 32MB SDRAM, SD flash memory card slot
● USB interface, serial port, parallel port
● Print speeds up to 4 inches per second
● Cast aluminum components and core; sheet metal outer casing
Continuous vinyl supplies are available in over 30 colors, and ribbons are available in seven different colors. Vinyl supplies and ribbons are designed to withstand harsh environments often associated with industrial environments, so labels will last a number of years.
Specialty supplies can also be used with the DuraLabel 9000. Currently, arc flash, RTK, and other die-cut labels are available along with two-color vinyl.
