Sonitrol Pacific Security System Detects Two on School Roof

Granite Falls, WA, February 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sheriff’s deputies arrested two suspected trespassers after the Sonitrol Pacific security system detected them on the roof of a Washington school February 6.

Expert Sonitrol Pacific Operator Tara Fulmer received an activation signal from one of the school’s roof hatch detection sensors. She didn’t hear anything when listening to real-time audio from the school, but her experience in monitoring electronic security told her something was amiss and she called deputies.

Officers arrived at the school within minutes and located two juveniles on the roof. Deputies suspect the two were looking for a way to get inside the building. Both were taken into custody.

Sonitrol Pacific security systems are designed for early and verified detection of criminal activity in order to allow police to arrive quickly and arrest suspected perpetrators. Since 1978, their systems have led to the arrest of more than 5,000 suspects.
