Memphis, TN, July 02, 2006 --(PR.com)-- In the essence of giving, Memphis Grizzlies’ Dahntay Jones, through his non profit foundation donated six front row tickets to the Essence Music Festival events to deserving individuals in Houston.
Touched by the devastation Jones witnessed firsthand while in Houston on an earlier relief effort for Hurricane Katrina evacuees, he felt compelled to provide tickets to the star studded concerts. “There are a lot of families still trying to overcome being displaced, and I thought it would be a good idea to do something special for a few deserving individuals.”
In September, the compassionate guard contributed a cash donation of $10,000 and $40,000 in product from Johnson & Johnson for families in Houston shelters.
The Dahntay Jones Foundation, whose mission is to help change our world one child at a time, is firmly committed to its cause and determined to make a difference.
