Panel Discussion to Address Today's Housing Market for Seniors : Behind the Headlines: the Economy and Your Future - Targeted to 70 + Age Group

Atlanta, GA, February 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A panel discussion to be held next month will address the challenges with today's housing market and the economy as it relates to those entering or who are already in their retirement, and their family members. The event will address current housing market conditions on both the local and national level, the outlook and options for retirees looking to sell their homes and home values in the current marketplace.

Featuring Sen. Johnny Isakson, and including David Haddow, president and founder of Haddow and Company; Jim Ware, managing broker of the Buckhead office of Coldwell Banker and James Frazier, Jr., founding partner of Frazier & Deeter, the event is one in a three-part series hosted by Peachtree Hills Place, an Atlanta senior living residential community offering a continuum of care in Buckhead for people ages 55 and older, that will discuss the issues directly affecting this demographic. Neil Williams, retired General Counsel of AMVESCAP PLC, one of the world’s largest investment management complexes, local community volunteer and Peachtree Hills Place member, will moderate the discussion. Registration is required for the panel discussion, which will be held in the Woodruff Auditorium of the Atlanta History Center Feb. 16, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“This discussion is in response to recent news stories about the economy, much of which is aimed at baby boomers and their challenges, but little directly relates to our demographic, people already enjoying retirement,” said E. Andrew (Andy) Isakson, managing partner of Isakson Living, developer of the Atlanta senior living community Peachtree Hills Place. “One lesson we have certainly learned is that a quality retirement lifestyle is more than just reacting to life’s changes, it’s planning ahead for them, so we want to serve as a resource to this group in Atlanta.”
