Lebron James to Host Fourth Season of King’s Academy Summer Basketball Camp
Camp for Boys and Girls Will Take Place at the University of California at San Diego from July 24-28
San Diego, CA, February 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- LeBron James today announced the fourth season of the King’s Academy summer basketball camp for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18. King’s Academy will take place this year at the University of California at San Diego in (UCSD), from July 24 – 28. Moving the camp to San Diego gives those kids on the west coast a chance to participate in this exciting and great experience.
LeBron James, whose extraordinary basketball skills have elicited wonder and admiration from fans across the globe, represents the next generation of preeminent NBA superstars. With his magnificent talent, competitive instincts and passion for the game, LeBron has become one of the most exciting players in the league. On February 2, 2009, LeBron became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 12,000 career points. At the camp, he will be assisted by an elite coaching staff from across the country as well as will interact with the campers, provide instruction, referee games and scrimmage. In addition, special guests may come by to meet with campers and offer personal insights.
Youths attending King’s Academy will have access to modern, indoor facilities and be instructed in the basic fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, passing and dribbling. Campers will be able to take photos with LeBron, receive an autograph authenticated by Upper Deck and have the opportunity to ask LeBron questions about his game, the Cavs and his life off the court. King’s Academy will offer both overnight and day camper sessions.
