Oco Executives Present Session on BI at the SAP Insider Logistics and Supply Chain Management Conference
Session Focuses on Best Practices to Rapidly Cut Costs, Reduce Inventory, Boost Bottom Line
Waltham, MA, February 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Oco, Inc., a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of business intelligence (BI) and data integration solutions, announced today that it will be a featured presenter at the Supply Chain Management 2009 show sponsored by SAP Insider, which will be held in Orlando, Florida from March 2 – March 5, 2009. During the presentation, William (Bill) Copacino, president and CEO of Oco, Inc. and former global leader of Accenture's Supply Chain Consulting Group, and Steve Morandi, Oco's vice president of industrial and manufacturing solutions and former Six Sigma Master Black Belt at General Electric, will discuss how companies can use business intelligence in combination with existing infrastructure investments to rapidly cut costs, reduce inventory and drive revenue. The session is designed to help manufacturers learn about best practices, analytics and technologies that will help them gain immediate visibility into critical supply-chain challenges and increase their bottom line. Oco will also be exhibiting its SaaS-based BI solutions each day of the conference at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, in booth #120.
Oco's presentation will discuss how companies can gain key business insights, improve their bottom line and gain competitive advantage using the joint Oco/SAP BusinessObjects OnDemand BI solution. In July of 2008, Oco and SAP BusinessObjects announced a partnership in which Oco became a strategic go-to-market solution provider to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence OnDemand. The joint offering combines the SAP BusinessObjects OnDemand BI Suite with the Oco OnDemand Data Warehouse. More information can be found at www.oco-inc.com/partnerBO or www.ondemand.com.
Additionally, Copacino and Morandi will present several case studies on how companies have used business intelligence software for competitive advantage. Companies that will be highlighted include: a major laboratory instrumentation and life sciences equipment manufacturer that reduced inventory by more than 17 percent in five months without compromising customer service levels; Welch's Foods, a food and beverage manufacturer that realized opportunities for savings and ROI within 30 days by implementing a Transportation & Logistics reporting solution; and a multi-billion dollar, global industrial equipment manufacturer that integrated operations, sales and global data from eight unique systems to achieve reporting across three business units.
