Thieme Chemistry Relaunches Website with Many Additional Features
Stuttgart, Germany, February 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Thieme Publishing Group has relaunched thieme-chemistry.com. For 100 years, Thieme Chemistry has been publishing peer-reviewed research on synthetic and general chemistry for professionals and advanced students. The completely restructured, user friendly website provides customers with an overview of all products and services within the division and facilitates direct access to all its e-Products.
Products, interests and services are the main sections of the revamped site. Notable additions include news and RSS feeds as well as a customer review area along with the availability of two languages. Renowned chemistry journals include: SYNFACTS, SYNLETT, and SYNTHESIS; reference works such as Science of Synthesis, Houben-Weyl, and Pharmaceutical Substances; as well as the chemistry encyclopedia RÖMPP. The majority of the information produced through the division is utilized by chemists in industry and academia located around the world.
“In addition to completely restructuring our content, Thieme Chemistry has created a user-friendly design with optimized navigation. We are now using a content management system that gives us control over the website and its updates. In terms of the redesign, our aim was to facilitate communication about our products with and between our customers, in an interactive way.
“And now this is possible while they are researching products. Big plans are in progress for the future. For instance, we are in the process of developing an interactive map that will enable customers to connect with our authors from around the world,” says Clifton Johnson, Thieme Institutional Marketing, who developed and manages the website.
Thieme Chemistry continues to maintain its presence at the forefront of electronic publishing. With the new website, the division once again confirms its commitment to supporting chemists, biochemists, pharmacists, biologists, and medical researchers in their endeavors.
