San Diego Firm Offering Free Services to 20,000 Laid Off Government Workers in California
San Diego based company Lucid Assessment has rolled out a program to help the state employees being affected by the massive layoffs that began on February 17th.
San Diego, CA, February 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On the heels of unfortunate news for 20,000 government workers in California, San Diego based company Lucid Assessment has rolled out a program to help the state employees being affected by the massive layoffs that began on February 17th.
The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that after a frustrating weekend that failed to yield the one vote necessary to end the budget stalemate in California, the state is poised to begin layoff proceedings for 20,000 government workers. The notices will start going out Tuesday to 20,000 workers in corrections, health and human services and other agencies that receive money from the general fund. Administration officials are seeking to eliminate up to 10,000 jobs as part of the governor's order to cut 10 percent from the government payroll.
In response, Lucid Assessment, a consulting firm specializing in debt settlement, debt management, and credit repair has committed to waive all upfront fees for any government workers in California who have fallen victim to the layoffs. This special program will save up to $1,000 in fees for each participant, and allow these newly jobless individuals to set up a plan to make their monthly credit card payments more affordable under their new circumstances, or even settle their outstanding debt for pennies on the dollar.
Constantly dedicated to assisting those burdened by excessive debt, Lucid Assessment is making this timely commitment in an effort to reach out to these California employees who may be scrambling to fulfill their monthly obligations due to this adversity.
