Customized SolidWorks 3D Modeling Software Installation Improves Design Efficiency for QuikWater Systems
Tulsa, OK, February 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- When QuikWater Systems, a water-heating technology specialist, upgraded to SolidWorks 3D modeling software, they chose EngATech for their customized SolidWorks installation, support, and consulting services.

SolidWorks 3D modeling software and EngATech's consulting services helped streamline QuikWater's workflow. Their direct-contact water heater designs included patterns cut into sheet metal. In the past, bends and breaks in the design would cause problems.
"Before, we were doing part of the process by hand, translating machine information to hand information and coordinating with machinery in the shop," said Ritchie. "There's another level of mistakes you can make there.
"Now we're able to get the design information to the shop floor a lot better. With SolidWorks, we don't have difficulty getting the information from the 3D model to the shop floor. We can make flat patterns that can be exported to the machines."

"The tech stayed till 7:00 in the evening," said Ritchie. "We had three stations with the software, and he wanted to make sure SolidWorks was set up correctly at each one, rather than just set one up and hit the road.
