A Toast to the Triangle™ to Feature Live and Silent Auction

Raleigh, NC, February 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, has announced that the 2009 A Toast to the Triangle™ will feature a live and a silent auction as part of the 24th annual fundraising event. All items up for auction are donated from various individuals, companies and organizations from throughout the Triangle and State.

One of the most exciting events of the evening, the live auction will offer guests the chance to bid on several unique prize packages. Items to be auctioned off at the Toast include:

Ultimate Hurricanes Experience with Tripp Tracy
Tripp Tracy and the Carolina Hurricanes are offering 4 tickets with a visit to the TV booth, followed by a personal tour of the players' locker room after the game. In addition, the lucky winner will take home an autographed hockey stick by his or her favorite player.

A Romantic Weekend Get Away for Two to Asheville, North Carolina

A Painting from local artist Bob Rankin
Local artist Bob Rankin utilizes representational, abstract and mixed media styles to create his unique paintings. His work is represented by seven galleries throughout North Carolina. He has received many accolades for his artwork such as the North Carolina Secondary Art Educator of the Year, Best in Show at the NC State Fair and Raleigh's Medal of the Arts Award.

A Custom Painting by Tammy Lynn Center Residents

Guests have a unique opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind painting created by Tammy Lynn residents.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid on more than 150 donated items during the silent auction, running from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Toast raises funds for the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., which in turn supports programs and services of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities. The Center provides educational, residential and family support services for children and adults with special needs.

The 2009 Toast will be held on March 8, 2009 at the North Carolina State University McKimmon Center in Raleigh. Last year, more than 1,200 guests were in attendance, helping raise $212,000.
