Spine Expert Grigory Goldberg, MD, Joins Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Freehold, New Jersey

Freehold, NJ, February 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Freehold, New Jersey’s Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute’s (AOSMI) team of experts has just added another prestigious name to their ranks by welcoming spine expert Grigory Goldberg M.D. to their staff. While bringing his expertise in spine-related health to the practice, Dr. Goldberg will develop a Center of Excellence in Spine Surgery at CentraState Hospital in Freehold.

Dr. Goldberg is interested in all aspects of spine surgery, including degenerative diseases of the cervical and lumbar spine, tumors, fractures, infections, and scoliosis. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive spine surgery and motion-preserving spine surgery. Before joining Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, Dr. Goldberg had a private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio.

After receiving a B.A. in psychology, magna cum laude, from New York University and an M.D. from Downstate Medical Center, cum laude, Dr. Goldberg completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Pennsylvania. He received the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology at NYU and the 2004 Academic Achievement Award at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

In addition to his medical degrees, Dr. Goldberg has earned two fellowships: the Leatherman Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Louisville in Kentucky and a fellowship in Total Joint Arthroplasty at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Pennsylvania. He has published expert texts in spine medicine and surgery, including publications for the renowned Informa Healthcare group, the Spine Journal, and Clinical Orthopaedics & Related Research.
