College Grad Triples Savings & Launches Event to Help Peers Manage Money

Instead of being upset about the economy, UCSD grad Julia Houck Whitaker decided, “to do something to help new and recent grads in the Bay Area avoid the mistakes I made. San Francisco, CA, February 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Despite plans to save, as a new UCSD grad, Julia saw her paychecks quickly evaporate on numerous "must haves". After a New Year's resolution to track spending, she tripled her annual savings. The event takes the mystery out of building a secure future in today’s unforgiving financial environment.
