San Francisco, CA, February 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Despite plans to save, as a new UCSD grad, Julia saw her paychecks quickly evaporate on numerous "must haves". After a New Year's resolution to track spending, she tripled her annual savings. The event takes the mystery out of building a secure future in today’s unforgiving financial environment. Participants will learn how to build a personal financial safety net and develop a step-by-step, practical budget with room for fun without the guilt. Attendees will also hear lessons learned by peers who have successfully increased and protected their savings as well as common, costly new grad pitfalls to avoid. The $15 registration fee only covers costs.

The event’s five speakers include the CEO of a personal finance web community designed to help people get the most from their money, the manager of a non-profit investment foundation portfolio totaling over one billion dollars, a personal budgeting expert, and a seasoned real estate professional specializing in first-time home buyers. No promoting of financial services will be permitted at the event.
