Robert McTague Honored at ActionCOACH’s Asia Pacific Conference in Australia
McTague received the Coaches Choice “BrandCOACH” award at the Awards Dinner held in Queensland, Australia.
Gold Coast, Australia, February 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ActionCOACH, the world’s leader in business and executive coaching, hosted its Asia Pacific Regional conference at the Gold Coast International Hotel situated in Queensland’s stunning Gold Coast – Australia’s favorite holiday destination.
At the company’s annual Awards Dinner, ActionCOACH founder and CEO Brad Sugars presented several prestigious awards to the Business Coaches within the community.
From amongst finalists that included Herman Susanto (Indonesia), Marcus Kroek (Australia), Tom McIfle (Indonesia) and Warrick Bidwell (Australia), Robert McTague from New Zealand received the Coaches Choice “BrandCOACH” award.
“To be recognized by your peers and honored with an award at any time is something very special. With the economic climate the way it is, it’s up to us to find and create ways to help business owners through their time of need,” McTague said.
He also pointed out that although ActionCOACH has been in New Zealand for over 10 years now; there are still many business owners who don’t know the organization exists.
“One of the ways we are building the brand is through the ActionCOACH New Zealand Education Foundation and by being involved with the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme, which teaches Year 12 and 13 students about business,” he said. “If we can teach our future business owners the business skills needed to put alongside their technical skills, then I feel we will be able to prepare the future of the small and medium sized business fraternity in New Zealand for success.”
“Robert is working along with his team on various interesting projects to get the ActionCOACH name out there in the business community of New Zealand,” Sugars said.
McTague – along with his team will be introducing a series of “Thrive or Survive” workshops, which will run throughout 2009, covering many aspects of business from cash flow management to customer service. A ‘hands on’ workshop, McTague believes every attendee will leave with ideas and a plan of what they are going to do differently in their own business.
“It’s not all doom and gloom out there. Those who have taken the time to identify what they need to do to lift themselves out of the ‘sea of sameness’ and create a real ‘point of difference’ for themselves are doing very well,” he said. “This series of workshops is for those who are just starting the process as well as for those who want to fine tune what they already have in place.”
McTague believes that the team at ActionCOACH is dedicated to working with business owners who are open to new ideas and who are prepared to make changes to the way they have always done things.
ActionCOACH has come a long way since it first started in 1993 in a small room in a suburb of Brisbane, Australia. Today, it not only enjoys the largest share of the industry – which is touted as the second fastest growing behind IT, but continues to show robust growth even in the middle of the current recession. In January, the company experienced a 21% year-over-year growth and in a historic event, three Business Coaches banked Diamond Level earnings in a single month.
A practice development research recently revealed that companies using the services of a Business Coach can increase profit margins by an average of 46%.
“As a business owner, if you’re in a bit of a mess right now, what got you there won’t get you out,” McTague said. “You’ll have to make changes to the way you do some things before that’s going to happen.”
A Business Coach can help provide the much-needed support in today’s troubled times.
