SGI Membership Opens to Regional Technology Players
Las Vegas, NV, June 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- SGI has opened membership to include regional players. SGI can assist any size company build their channel for products, or services including SaaS. SGI saves time and resources to help find those fits, and connecting both businesses with the right people within the organization. Accelerating time to market thus increasing sales and profits.
Marv McGrew, CEO of SGI stated, “As global markets expands, so does the opportunities for smaller regional technologies players. IBM, HP and Microsoft for example are all shifting their focus to the SMB market and providing opportunities for regional VARs and SIs to participate in sales and profits. Everyone now sees the value that regional players offer, though their customer base may be smaller, they have a long term trusted relationship with the SMB customer.”
SGI was formed 6 years ago primarily to assist the larger VARS to locate non- standard solutions that they could resell at higher margins, because of shrinking margins from larger ISVs and VADs. The SGI successful model has expanded to now include ISVs (looking for resellers), SaaS / Managed Services companies looking for resellers, and Professional services and now regional technology companies looking for partnering opportunities.
SGI connects the dots… they locate, profile and connect synergistic companies that are a good fit for each other. Most of their members come to them from referrals from members or where members ask them to vet a potential partner. Many ISVs for example out of EMEA and ASIA – PAC that are looking to establish themselves in the USA market come to them to partner with their members. In addition many USA base technology companies are looking to expand to EMEA and or ASIA-PAC to gain a footprint and accelerate growth in global markets.
As the economic crisis looms globally, SMB customers must still support their infrastructure which calls for technology to provide more solutions to support the business needs with fewer people, or in many cases look to SaaS (Software as a Service) to provide the technology solutions needed for the business.
As the SMB customers' "Trusted Advisors" SGI Members continue to assist their customer in identifying and selection of hardware, software and service solutions that keep customers in cutting edge of technology. Their members are the "Go To" source for many of their customers researching, identifying and implementing standard and emerging technologies that allow the customer to maintain cost effective, secure and up to date system environments.
SGI launched “SGI 2.0” this year with great success. SGI 2.0 is SGI’s Global Technology Coalition which now reaches 5 Million plus technology professional’s world -wide. Regional technology players that are interested in expanding their base business with new technology solutions may apply for SGI membership at successgroupintl.com
